By using Promptly, you agree to all the policies, terms, and conditions outlined on this page. This includes our practices around privacy, data, extension usage, and community guidelines.
Beta Disclaimer
- Promptly is currently in beta. Features, functionality, and performance may change at any time without notice.
- We provide Promptly “as is.” There is no guarantee of uninterrupted service, bug-free operation, or data retention.
- Use Promptly at your own risk. The team is not liable for any loss, data issues, or damages resulting from your use of the extension.
Privacy & Data Usage
- We do not store your prompts, rewritten content, or chats they are never logged or seen by the team.
- Account data (email, username, subscription type) is securely stored and never sold or shared with third parties except as required by law.
- Authentication tokens and usage data are stored to provide quota, subscription, and support features.
Permissions & Extension Scope
- Promptly requests the minimum Chrome permissions needed to enable rewriting and productivity features on supported sites only.
- No keystrokes, passwords, or private data outside your active prompt are ever accessed.
- Extension activity is sandboxed; we never inject scripts on non-allowed domains.
Cookies & Analytics
- Promptly uses local storage and cookies only for session, login, and quota management. No external tracking is used unless you explicitly opt-in for product analytics.
Third-Party Services
- Promptly integrates with APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Supabase) to deliver rewriting and account services. API usage is governed by their respective terms.
- No payment information is stored by us; payments are processed securely by our payment provider.
User Conduct & Fair Use
- Do not abuse, automate, or attempt to circumvent Promptly quotas, limits, or security.
- Any misuse (including but not limited to spam, harassment, illegal, or harmful activity) may result in immediate suspension.
- You are responsible for all content generated using Promptly; use AI responsibly.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Subscription Cancellation
- You can cancel any active plan at any time from Settings.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle—your benefits remain active until that date.
- If you cannot access the self-serve portal, email support@usepromptlyai.com and we will cancel on your behalf within 24-48 hours.
Refunds
- 7-day window: first-time subscribers who cancel within 7 days of the initial payment are eligible for a full refund, given they provide appropriate feedback for dissatisfaction.
- After 7 days, refunds are granted only for duplicate charges, accidental renewals, or legally-mandated circumstances.
- To request a refund, contact support@usepromptlyai.com with your subscription ID and payment receipt. Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.
Billing & Renewal
- All paid plans renew automatically every 30 days unless cancelled.
Chargebacks & Disputes
- Please contact us first—most issues are solved within 24 hours.
- Filing an unnotified chargeback may result in immediate account suspension until the dispute is resolved.
Account Closure & Data Deletion
- Closing your Promptly account (Settings → Delete Account) permanently erases stored data (email, usage records, preferences) within 30 days.
- Closed accounts cannot be reactivated; you may create a new account with the same email after deletion completes.
Updates & Changes
- This policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of Promptly constitutes agreement to the latest terms.
- Major changes will be communicated via the app and/or email.
